2027 Oregon 4-star EDGE commit Prince Tavizon reclassifying to 2026 cycle

One of the top 2027 prospects in the state of California is speeding up his high school football career and his recruitment.
On Tuesday, San Diego Lincoln four-star EDGE Prince Tavizon, an Oregon commit, announced that he is reclassifying up to the 2026 cycle.
As a member of the 2027 cycle, Tavizon was the No. 107 overall prospect and No. 16 EDGE in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.
Playing for a top high school football program in the Golden State, Tavizon is now set to enter his final season at the prep level this fall. He committed to Oregon on June 1 and was one of two commitments in the Ducks’ 2027 class to date.
“I committed to Oregon not just because of football and the facilities, because people get caught on to all that, but I feel like I’m at home,” Tavizon told Scoop Duck following his pledge. “The coaching staff, the players, make me feel like I’m at home. Definitely Dan Lanning and Coach Tosh (Lupoi), they’re great guys.”

As a sophomore for Lincoln in 2024, Tavizon tallied 90 total tackles and 13 sacks, per MaxPreps. The Hornets won 12 games and the CIF Division 1-AA state title. Oregon just signed Tavizon’s former teammate in four-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr.
Tavizon will now join Oregon’s 2026 class, which ranks No. 6 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, as of July 15. He becomes the second listed EDGE prospect in the class, alongside Riverside (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star Dutch Horisk.
Head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks continue to recruit the state of California well. Three other blue-chippers from the state are in the class to date: Sacramento Archbishop Riordan four-star interior offensive lineman Tommy Tofi, Vista Murrieta four-star quarterback Bryson Beaver and Ventura four-star linebacker Tristan Phillips.
After the release of the Rivals300 on Monday, Oregon’s class is now buoyed by three five-star commits: Baltimore Georgetown Prep offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, Las Vegas Bishop Gorman safety Jett Washington and Reidsville (N.C.) tight end Kendre Harrison.
