2027 QB Furian Inferrera commits to Boston College

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei quarterback Furian Inferrera has committed to Bill O’Brien and the Boston College Eagles. The 2027 signal caller was offered by the ACC program the summer before his freshman year and he decided to make an early commitment.

“I went up there twice, once for a game day visit and the second being this past weekend,” Inferrera told On3. “I chose Boston College because of their staff, NFL ties, Pro-Style offense, and the opportunity to start as a freshman. I’ve known coach John Dibiasso (quarterbacks coach) for a few years now and I feel comfortable with him. He’s not only a great coach but a great mentor.”

The 6-foot-3, 187-pound sophomore went on about what he liked about the school he has committed to.

“The school is incredible. The academics and the campus itself are amazing. The facilities are great and have everything you need to be successful. Great scenery with both the city of Boston and the campus being next to each other as well.”

Inferrera is close to coach Dibiasso, and he is excited to work with him, but playing under and learning from coach O’Brien is something else he looks forward to.

“Coach O’Brien is foremost a great guy, but also what stuck out to me was his NFL experience and the players he has coached. Such as Tom Brady and Bryce Young. He also had great success at Alabama and knows what the standard is to lead a great program. I feel that the development at the school will prepare me for the next level after, in which they do a great job and have a plan for me to be pro-ready when the time comes.”

Schools like Hawaii, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Oregon State and USF have also offered Infererra.
