2027 QB Furian Inferrera flips his commitment from Boston College to Minnesota

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei quarterback Furian Inferrera committed to Boston College in February. He is a big fan of Bill O’Brien, his resume and his offensive mind, but after spending time at Minnesota this summer, he has decided to flip his commitment to PJ Fleck and the Gophers.
The 6-foot-3, 187-pound junior was in Minneapolis a week ago and that is what led to this decision.
“It was an awesome experience there at Minnesota,” Inferrera told On3. “The area and city were great. The facilities were also awesome. Other things that stood out were the coaching staff – coach Fleck, coach Harbaugh and coach O’Hara were all very thorough on my recruitment.
“They did a deep dive into everything about me, which shows me that they will really focus on my career and be very thorough with helping me develop as a person, leader and as a football player to help me to win a national championship and the Heisman.”
His connection with the with coaches played a big role in his decision. It just felt right for Inferrera on that Minnesota campus.

“I loved Minnesota’s coaching staff, their hospitality, knowledge, and character. All of those things were factors in my decision. Minnesota being in the Big Ten was another factor, as well as having not only multiple high-winning seasons, but also the longest active bowl game winning in college football.”
Inferrera is excited about the scheme he gets to play in as well.
“They run a pro-style offense that I know can develop me to be prepared for the league,” Iferrera said.
