4-star DL Anthony Jones decommits from UCLA for second time
Irvine (Calif.) Crean Lutheran four-star defensive lineman Anthony Jones told Rivals’ Adam Gorney on Wednesday that he was likely not putting pen to paper during this week’s signing period. He has now decommitted from UCLA for the second time in his process, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
He was one of many who originally backed off a pledge to the Bruins after the early-season firing of head coach DeShaun Foster this fall. He then jumped back in the boat last month, choosing the in-state program over Arizona State and Arkansas.
With UCLA bringing in new head coach Bob Chesney, Jones is now re-thinking things once more. Jones told Gorney on Wednesday that Arizona State remained at the top of his recruitment alongside UCLA.
Jones is the No. 400 overall prospect and No. 43 DL in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 41 recruit in the Golden State.

The Bruins signed their other 12 commits on Wednesday. Four-star wide receiver Kenneth Moore is the lone blue-chip signee headed to Westwood with Jones now out of the fold once more.
The Sun Devils will now be a team to watch for the blue-chip D-lineman. Arizona State currently has the No. 34 class in the nation, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. It signed all 19 of its commits on Wednesday, including stud four-star quarterback Jake Fette and top-ranked JUCO prospect Jarmaine Mitchell, who flipped from Georgia earlier this week.
