4-star EDGE Tristian Givens names top four schools

Columbus (Ga.) Carver four-star EDGE Tristian Givens has acquired more than 20 Power Four offers throughout his recruiting process. He told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday that he’s now down to four schools.

Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC are the finalists for the 6-foot-3.5, 215-pounder, who’s ready to leave the Peach State at the next level.

Givens is the No. 70 overall prospect and No. 12 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Georgia.

The Volunteers and Seminoles are the two teams to have Givens on campus most recently this fall. Tennessee currently has the slight edge in his recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

“I talk to coach (Josh) Heupel a lot,” Givens told On3’s Chad Simmons in February. “I know he and the staff have me as one of their top guys and they are recruiting me really hard. He and coach Chop (Levorn Harbin) talk to me a lot, they show me I am a top guy for them and that is nice.”

He’s also been to Texas A&M and has loved his time in College Station. His game day atmosphere at Kyle Field last fall was one of the loudest stadium environments he’s experienced.

“The experience was great,” Givens said of his time in the Lone Star State. “There were a lot of people there.”

“I would love to win a championship, but for me, I am really looking at what schools can offer me for life after football,” he added.

Givens has been a key piece to Carver’s success in Georgia. The Tigers went 14-1 in 2024, winning a state title in the process. They finished as the No. 35 team in the state last season, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.
