4-star LB Zach Weeks commits to LSU, will reclassify to 2025 cycle

Watkinsville (Ga.) Oconee County four-star linebacker Zach Weeks has committed to LSU, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
He chose the Tigers while also holding offers from the likes of Ohio State, Tennessee and Florida. Weeks will reclassify up to the 2025 cycle and join Brian Kelly’s senior pledge list.
As a 2026 recruit, Weeks is the No. 282 overall prospect and No. 23 LB in the cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 33 player in Georgia.
Weeks is a legacy recruit for LSU, as he is the younger brother of current Tiger linebackers West and Whit Weeks. He now joins the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class, which is pushing for top-five status in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Kelly and his staff jumped in the mix early for Weeks and quickly struck a chord with the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder. With his pair of older brothers already down in Baton Rouge, it was easy for Weeks to see the vision under defensive coordinator Blake Baker and the staff. He visited campus multiple times this fall and is now set to follow his brothers from Georgia to the Bayou.
“Coach Baker is such a great dude. My brothers couldn’t be more happy. They tell me he’s the best coach in college football,” Weeks told The Bengal Tiger this June. “I know they’re never gonna steer me wrong. I was in shock and was so excited. I have my brothers there telling me what it’s like.”
This season for Oconee County, Weeks has been a force on both sides of the ball. He’s caught 12 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns, while also racking up 96 total tackles, three sacks and an interception across 11 games.
