4-star TE DaSaahn Brame sets June commitment date

One of the top tight ends in the country will be coming off the board later this summer.

Derby (Kan.) four-star tight end DaSaahn Brame will announce his commitment on June 29, he told On3’s Chad Simmons.

Brame will choose between Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and Tennessee. He took an official visit to Oxford on April 12 and has additional OVs set for Tennessee (June 13) and Oregon (June 21).

Brame is the nation’s No. 101 overall prospect, No. 3 tight end and No. 4 recruit from Kansas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3’s Steve Wiltfong spoke with Brame last month about his visit to Ole Miss.

“(Brame) enjoyed watching film with the staff (and) the way Ole Miss utilizes the tight end in the offense,” Wiltfong told OM Spirit. “He said he’s loving Ole Miss. . . Just the environment around Oxford, he really felt at home there.” 

Brame also visited Tennessee this spring.

“The coaching staff is a great family feeling here,” he told VolQuest after his visit. “Being in the meetings with the players and seeing how they interact with each other was really cool. There’s competition in the room but everyone treats you like family and help each other out to get better.”

Oregon has been the longtime leader for Brame in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

“I love the staff at Oregon,” Brame told On3 in January. “The people there is what keeps me going back. It is a cool place with good people. It is beautiful, I like the campus and the vibe is cool. I like Coach Mehringer a lot. I like his personality, he coaches his guys up and he is a developmental coach. Coach Mehringer will coach his guys, he will play freshmen and we have a strong relationship.”
