5-star lineman Lamar Brown logs Texas A&M official visit

LSU is the team that’s had the edge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Erwinville (La.) University Lab five-star two-way lineman Lamar Brown since last spring. Texas A&M has been right there, too.
In fact, Brown tabbed the Aggies as the team leading his process following an October trip to College Station that included an A&M victory over the Tigers at Kyle Field. Head coach Mike Elko and his staff have prioritized Brown and then some.
As the 6-foot-3.5, 285-pounder nears his July 10 commitment date, he’s amidst a crucial four-week stretch of official visits. After seeing Miami and Texas the previous two weekends, Brown got back to the Lone Star State this weekend for his OV with the Aggies.
Each of Brown’s four finalists have garnered buzz in his recruitment down the stretch. Miami is looking to compile an elite haul on both sides of the trenches and Brown would pair beautifully with Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle and top-ranked prospect Jackson Cantwell. Vaunted OL coach Kyle Flood and the Texas staff are pushing hard for Brown in Austin. LSU is right in Brown’s backyard and has been in the mix longer than any other program.
It may be hard to pull Brown away from Baton Rouge in the end, but Texas A&M is doing all it can with a decision now less than a month away. He’s felt the love from the staff in College Station for a long time.

“Every time I go out there I love it, I extremely love it,” Brown told On3 in March. “It doesn’t feel like anything new to me, every time I go out there I’m getting comfortable…each and every time.”
Now listed as an athlete, Brown intends on playing defensive line at the next level. He is the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
To date, Texas A&M has 14 commits in its 2026 class that ranks No. 6 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Ten top-300 prospects are in the class. Brown would be the class jewel in College Station.
