Texas A&M 4-star WR commit Madden Williams takes official visit to Arizona State

Texas A&M picked up some serious recruiting momentum at the end of last year, landing a slew of commitments from all over the country. At the end of December, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star wide receiver Madden Williams committed to the Aggies.
The 6-foot-2 pass-catcher remains in the mix in College Station, but his recruitment is not closed. He’s lined up a string of official visits and took his first over the weekend to Arizona State. The Sun Devils were a finalist for his pledge last year and are still looking to sway the blue-chipper.
Williams has been to ASU multiple times throughout his process. What had the Big 12 program high up on his list ahead of his pledge to Texas A&M was relationships with head coach Kenny Dillingham and the staff in Tempe.
“It is about the staff. Coach Arroyo and coach Dilingham recruited me when they were at Oregon when I was a freshman,” Williams told On3’s Chad Simmons in December. “Then they brought in Hines Ward, who has a great NFL background and really understands the position. Arizona State is on the rise…”
Washington (May 30), Florida State (June 6), USC (June 13) and A&M (June 20) are also currently set to receive OVs from the Golden State standout. Williams is a top-five commit in the Aggies’ 2026 class, which currently ranks No. 5 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Arizona State currently has the No. 19 class nationally. Four blue-chippers are pledged to the Sun Devils, including Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern four-star WR Nalin Scott and El Paso (Texas) Del Valle four-star quarterback Jake Fette.
Williams is the No. 207 overall prospect and No. 31 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 23 player in California.
Scout’s Take on Madden Williams
Williams’ name was mentioned left and right at Overtime’s OT7 this spring. The playmaker drew plenty of praise from On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power while playing for Trillion Boys back in March:
“Madden Williams was unguardable in the short and intermediate areas of the field during week 2 at OT7,” Power wrote. “The Texas A&M commit led all receivers with 13 touchdowns over the weekend. Williams has a great feel for finding open spaces within the secondary and showed outstanding hands and body control. He had several high-difficulty grabs, displaying excellent awareness for the sideline. Williams is incredibly polished and refined from a technical perspective. He’s been well-coached at St. John Bosco and is physically developed. The California native gives the Aggies a high-floor possession wideout who has the skill set to be a high-volume target with the potential to pick up a bunch of first downs.”
