Top-40 recruit Billy White III down to 10 schools
Billy White III, a four-star small forward in the 2026 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to ten. Moving forward, the 6-foot-8 rising senior of Veterans Memorial (TX) will consider Kansas, LSU, Maryland, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Stanford, TCU, Texas A&M, and Virginia.
White, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, is ranked as the No. 38 overall player in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 15 small forward and the No. 4 player in Texas.
White currently has six official visits scheduled — Virginia (8/28), SMU (9/6), Oklahoma State (9/28), TCU (10/4), LSU (10/11), and Maryland (10/18).
Prior to cutting his list down, he also received offers from St. John’s, Ole Miss, Illinois, Texas, Missouri, and others.

On3’s Jamie Shaw recently found White to be a standout at the NBPA Top-100 Camp earlier this summer:
Billy White was one of the better shooters in the camp. At 6-foot-8, he knocked down 3.2 threes per game at a 51.2 percent clip. The former quarterback has a projectable frame with great length. The shooting and positional size leads to very intriguing upside.
(White) showcased a fluid frame with excellent shot balance. He is going to need to continue working on his strength and play off the bounce, but he did show some intriguing passing stuff today.
White discusses his game
Billy White III broke down his game with KSR’s Jacob Polacheck in a recent interview.
“A big reason I get recruited is my shot-making ability at my size,” White said. “I’m in that 6-8 frame and weigh 195 pounds, so I can play that two, three range. I shoot the ball at an elite level, especially from the three-point line. I’m also a good positional guy. I can defend my position and defend multiple positions. I rebound the ball pretty well and I have a high basketball IQ, being around basketball my whole life.
“It doesn’t necessarily have to be me scoring the ball, but getting the ball where it needs to be off the bounce and making plays for my teammates,” White said. “Defensively, I want to show that I can defend my position and if I have to switch onto a big or guard, I can do that as well.”
