Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity junior running back Justice Haynes has offers from many of the blue-blood college programs in America.

Haynes is considered the No. 49 overall prospect in the class of 2023 by the On3 Consensus.

The offers have been flooding in since his freshman year. The production to match those offers began then as well.

With potentially as many as two more games left in his junior season, Haynes has piled up 6,016 yards and 76 total touchdowns. Haynes is now only the 24th player to rush for at least 6,000 yards in Georgia high school football history.

One of the names on that list is former Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker. For Haynes’ father, former Georgia Bulldog Verron Haynes, seeing his son’s name on the same list as Walker’s is a bit of a humbling experience.

“To be completely honest seeing him on a list with only 23 people on it is mine blowing,” Verron said. “Keep in mind he has another year to grow, get bigger stronger faster but more importantly smarter… What made the realization even more special and memorable is that he is on a list with Herschel Walker… What a huge honor to be in that kind of company and mention with the great Herschel Walker.”

Justice Hayne still willing to learn

Whenever Blessed Trinity’s season comes to an end, the younger Haynes will break down his season with the elder Haynes.

There are still ways for Justice to grow as a player. Verron is excited to see a player that is one of the top 24 rushers in the state’s history is willing to learn still.

I am brutally honest on things that he can improve and work on in the off-season,” Verron said. “I’m thankful that he hasn’t ‘big timed’ me yet and he is still open-minded to taking constructive criticism from his old man.”
