The college football recruiting calendar moved at warp speed in this cycle, with the overwhelming majority of top prospects committing between May and mid-July. It’s commonplace for recruits to want to end their process before their senior seasons start, but the level of commitments that took place during the summer months is unprecedented.

Because of that, we head into the final few weeks of August with just 10 uncommitted blue-chip prospects in the entire country. Three of those are current five-stars in the Rivals Industry Ranking, but each are expected to announce their decisions by the end of next week.

With that said, here’s a look at where things stand with the final remaining holdouts:

RB Savion Hiter

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 8
The Skinny: Hiter has gone nearly silent about his recruitment since his official visits in June, with Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee and Georgia making up his final list of schools. Rivals’ insiders have pegged this one as a Wolverines-Vols battle for the past few months and the intel remains the same on that front. Hiter will announce his choice on August 19.

SAF Bralan Womack

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 21
The Skinny: Womack has remained mum on who is leading the way in his recruitment, though he’ll ultimately choose between Florida, Auburn, Ohio State and Texas A&M on August 21. According to Wiltfong, the momentum a little more than a week out is with Auburn, but the Gators continue to push to get him in their class.

IOL Darius Gray

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 31
The Skinny: LSU and South Carolina have been going back-and-forth in a tug-of-war battle for the elite offensive lineman this summer. Earlier in June and into July, the Tigers were considered the favorite. With his commitment date approaching, the winds have shifted toward the Gamecocks, according to the latest intel. One team will get good news on August 22, and the other will be working until signing day to flip him.

ATH CJ Sadler

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 123
The Skinny: August 15 is the decision date for Sadler, who will choose between four intriguing finalists. Michigan is in the in-state program, but the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine has favored North Carolina since Sadler logged his June official visits. The Tar Heels and Colorado have been battling near the top, but on Tuesday, Rivals’ Greg Smith logged a prediction in favor of Bill Belichick and Co.

DL Emanuel Ruffin

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 219
The Skinny: Ruffin told Rivals’ Chad Simmons last month that he was “rushing things” and wanted to slow down his recruiting process. LSU and Ohio State were his top two earlier this summer, but both took players at his position that might’ve filled up their allotment in the class. His recruitment is now wide open with Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Penn State among those he’s in contact with.

LB DQ Forkpa

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 252
The Skinny: Forkpa was originally set to commit in July, but opted to postpone that date despite Florida trending heavily as the favorite to land him. He hasn’t set a new commitment date, but schools like Florida State and Michigan — both of whom would like to add one LB this class — are still hanging around in his recruitment.

LB JaMichael Garrett

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 253
The Skinny: A longtime Auburn commit, Garrett reopened his recruitment this summer and has been looking at a number of other programs. Ole Miss hosted him for an official visit, and LSU is considered another strong contender after he recently moved to Baton Rouge for his senior season.  Texas A&M, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are also in the mix for the uber-productive linebacker, according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman.

RB TJ Hodges

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 266
The Skinny: Hodges has made a string of visits to Mizzou over the past year, including a return trip for an official visit in June. The Tigers have been one of the favorites in his recruitment since — despite a strong effort from the in-state Razorbacks to cut into that lead over the summer. However, according to Spiegelman, there have been a few things holding up a commitment with no scheduled timeline in place right now.

EDGE Andrew Rogers

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 324
The Skinny: After reclassifying to the 2026 cycle, Rogers told Rivals’ Chad Simmons that he plans to announce his commitment on August 22. He tabbed his top five schools, but South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech were the only programs to host him this summer for visits. With his decision 10 days away, no team holds a commanding lead in the Rivals Prediction Machine (RPM), but the latest intel suggests the Hokies are one of the programs to watch on commitment day.

IOL Maxwell Robinson

Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 380
The Skinny: Robinson holds reported offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri and Oklahoma, among others. He didn’t take any official visits this summer, though. Earlier this week, he told Rivals’ Greg Smith that KansasKansas State and Penn State have been in contact with him about visits this fall, so his recruitment will be one to track.
