5-star WR Dallas Wilson, former Oregon signee, signs with in-state Florida

Tampa Bay Tech five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson has signed with the Florida Gators.
The longtime Oregon commit signed with the Ducks earlier this month, but asked to be released from his financial aid agreement on Dec. 19. Florida made a serious charge to flip Wilson ahead of National Signing Day and have finally gotten the in-state star in its 2025 recruiting class.
Wilson is the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 2 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in the Sunshine State.
The 6-foot-2.5, 193-pounder took multiple visits to Gainesville at the end of November in the lead-up to the Early Signing Period. The in-state SEC school picked up the momentum in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but Wilson still inked with Dan Lanning and Oregon on Dec. 4.
Just over two weeks later, Gators Online’s Zach Abolverdi reported that Wilson asked to released from his financial aid agreement with the Ducks and was looking to then sign with UF. Despite being committed to Oregon for over 23 months, Wilson is set to stay in-state, joining a recruiting class that caught on fire in November under Billy Napier and Co.

Wilson now sits atop Florida’s 2025 class alongside Orlando Jones four-star WR Vernell Brown III. He is signee No. 25 for a class that ranks No. 11 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Dallas Wilson Scouting Summary
On3 writes this of Wilson as a prospect:
“Twitchy wide receiver with the ability to win at the catch point and some of the best after-catch ability in the cycle. Measured in at 6-foot-2.75, 193 pounds with 32.5-inch arms and 10-inch hands at the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season. A good athlete who runs well in the combine setting. Shows a well-rounded skill set on Friday nights. A functional athlete who has a noticeable bounce in his movement. Shows quick feet with the ability to cut on a dime. Physical and flashes strong hands at the catch point. Attacks the ball in high-point situations. Outstanding after the catch. Sticks his foot in the ground and gets upfield quickly. Has great contact balance and breaks arm tackles. Dangerous when working underneath and over the middle of the field. Caught 49 passes for 879 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. Will need to continue adding polish to his game. Projects as a versatile X receiver with the ability to threaten all areas of the field.”
