DL Cameron Brickle commits to Ohio State, Ryan Day: ‘The man is a legend at what he does’

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star defensive lineman Cameron Brickle took official visits to Florida State, Maryland, Ohio State and Penn State. The Buckeyes offered him on Oct. 16 and hosted him for his official in Columbus on May 30.
Ohio State greatly impressed the 6-foot-2, 300-pound recruit and the Terrapins caught his attention as well. Yet Maryland finished second in his recruitment, as Brickle has announced his commitment to head coach Ryan Day and his staff.
“I chose Ohio State because of the atmosphere in Columbus, coach Day and coach Matt Patricia’s vision,” Brickle told On3.
“I believe Ohio State can help my overall development and give me the opportunity to become the best player I can be,” he added.
Brickle decided to choose the Buckeyes following a conversation with his family. He is looking forward to playing for Day in the coming years.

“Coach Day is my guy,” Brickle said. “His main goal is to make me a better man outside of football, along with helping me grow my football talent.”
“… When it comes to coach Day… the man is a legend at what he does and I want to be a part of what he’s doing,” he added.
Brickle is also ready to suit up for Patricia – Ohio State’s new defensive coordinator – and associate head coach/defensive line coach Larry Johnson. The three-star and Johnson have known each other for a long time.
“Coach Larry has been recruiting me since my freshman year and we have continued to build a strong bond,” Brickle said.
