Duke 5-star commit Dereck Lively II signs with Klutch Sports Group

Bellefonte (Pa.) Westtown School five-star center and Duke signee Dereck Lively II has signed a contract with the Klutch Sports Group to represent him in NIL deals.

Klutch Sports is the agency founded by LeBron James and Rich Paul, and includes Anthony Davis, Draymond Green and Ben Simmons among its clientele.

He is the No. 2 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The Industry Comparison shows he is ranked as the top prospect in the nation by both 247Sports and ESPN.

Lively currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $22k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

He is the one of four members in Duke’s No. 1 overall recruiting class in the 2022 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. The class includes the top three players in the On3 Consensus: Lively, Wilbraham (Mass.) Wilbraham & Monson Academy five-star power forward Kyle Filipowski and Newark (N.J.) Montverde Academy five-star small forward Dariq Whitehead.
