EDGE Cam Brooks commits to Florida State
Former Cal commit Cam Brooks has committed to the Florida State Seminoles. It is basically like he’s staying home. Brooks plays at Thomas County Central in Thomasville (Ga.), less than an hour from Tallahassee.
”I’ve been going to Florida State since I was a kid,” Brooks told Rivals. “I’ve seen a lot of games there and it is so close for me and my family. That was part of my decision. I was familiar with the coaches and I know a lot a lot the program.”
Brooks was set on Cal before the Golden Bears dismissed Justin Wilcox. That led to his commitment. He’s happy with how it all worked out.
”I talked to Florida State on Sunday and they immediately welcomed me back with open arms. Coach Norvell is a great coach. I like him and the people at Florida State.
