Ethan Taylor, a high four-star center in the 2026 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to six, he told Rivals. Moving forward, the 7-foot rising senior of Link Academy (MO) will consider Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma, and Oregon.

Taylor, a native of Shawnee, Kansas, is ranked as the No. 24 overall player in the class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 2 center. Rivals’ evaluators are slightly higher on him, ranking him 19th nationally.

He has also scheduled the official visits to each of his finalists:

  • Oregon: September 5-7
  • Oklahoma: September 12-14
  • Indiana: September 19-21
  • Kansas: September 26-28
  • Michigan State: October 3-5
  • Kentucky: October 10-12

Prior to cutting his list down, Taylor also held offers from Missouri, Purdue, Kansas State, Iowa, Houston, Creighton, Baylor, Texas, Florida State, and Virginia.

Taylor talks his game + what he’s looking for in a school

In a recent interview with Rivals’ Jamie Shaw, Taylor discussed recent steps he’s taken in his game.

“My game has taken a huge leap offensively,” Taylor told On3. “I used to be more of a short corner guy, but I’ve gotten better at crashing the glass, getting put-backs, and scoring off post-ups. A lot of my development has been me just turning up my motor. It was kind of hard to grasp that these last couple of years, but my understanding is that now, everything has been clicking for me.”

He knows what he wants in a future college program.

“I want to go to a school that has a great history of developing bigs. A program that has a winning culture and a great environment. I want to play for good coaches, ones that will push you, but also understand that you’re human.”
