Five-star PG Dylan Mingo reschedules visit to North Carolina for this weekend

Dylan Mingo, a five-star point guard in the 2026 class, has rescheduled his official visit to North Carolina for this weekend, he told Rivals.
The 6-foot-5 senior of Long Island Lutheran (NY) was set to make the trip to Chapel Hill last weekend, but his flight was cancelled and he couldn’t make the trip.
This will mark his seventh visit, having previously made stops at UConn, Washington, Miami, Alabama, Penn State, and Baylor.
In Rivals’ Updated 2026 Player Rankings, Mingo is the No. 2 overall player in the class. He’s also the No. 1 point guard and the No. 1 player in New York.

Mingo on UNC
In a recent interview with Rivals’ Jamie Shaw, Mingo discussed the Tar Heels.
“Hubert Davis, he reaches out a lot. He pretty much just talks about how this year they should be really good, how they’re going to get things back on a UNC level. He tells me how he could see me coming in there playing as a freshman.”
Mingo also discussed what he is looking for in a college.
“I want to play for a coach that values me a lot,” Mingo said. Well, not even just the coach, the whole program. I want to have a strong relationship with the coaches, especially the head coach, and the whole coaching staff. And a winning program. I’d like to compete for a championship, and also a program that’s willing to play a freshman.”
