A chance for redemption is all Notre Dame signee Noah Grubbs wanted for his Lake Mary Rams after how the 2024 season ended with a blowout loss in the Florida high school football Class 7A state championship game to Venice.

Grubbs made sure the Rams would be making a return trip back down to the 305 as the quarterback accounted for three total touchdowns as Lake Mary avenged last season’s loss and coming away with a 31-26 win over Venice on Friday night. The Rams snapped the Indians’ streak of reaching four consecutive state championship games in the process of returning to the 7A title game.

Lake Mary will face Vero Beach, a 45-44 overtime winner over Miami Palmetto, for the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 7A state championship next Saturday night at Pitbull Stadium in Miami.

The future Notre Dame quarterback was dialed in throughout the night, throwing two touchdown passes to Barrett Schulz and Grubbs adding one on the ground.
