Florida speedster Davion Crumitie commits to Fran Brown and Syracuse

Syracuse was the first program to offer Tallahassee (Fla.) James Rickards athlete Davion Crumitie and now they have his commitment.
The Sunshine State speedster announced his pledge to the Orange, choosing to play for head coach Fran Brown and his staff over offers from Georgia Tech, UCF, Pittsburgh and Illinois among others.
“Coach Fran is a head coach every football player wishes for,” Crumitie said. “He love his guys, he takes care of them and he treats them like their own son.”
Rivals ranks the 5-foot-11, 160-pound Crumitie as the nation’s No. 19 athlete. He is commit No. 5 for Syracuse in the 2027 recruiting cycle, adding to a class the Rivals Industry previously ranked No. 7 nationally.

Crumitie had four interceptions as a sophomore and projects well in the secondary. He boasts 10.49 speed in the 100m dash. He was recruited to the Orange by General Manager Tommy Caporale and Defensive Analyst for cornerbacks Nitron Stork.
“Syracuse is a place where I can stay focused and have good coaches guiding me to be a man. Favorite things playing for Fran Brown is he keeps everything real, he lets you know what you need to do and work on to get on the field quicker and him just really being a straight and stand-up guy about his business.”
Crumitie joins a Syracuse class that includes defensive lineman Stanley Montgomery, safety Travis Miles, wide receiver Tank White and quarterback Justin Dixon.
