Reed on why he chose Mississippi State

Tristan Reed went in-depth on his decision to choose Mississippi State.

“I chose Mississippi State because of the culture and Coach Jans. Being from the Midwest, I’m not use to the southern culture. But when I took my visit I was greeted in open arms from the people of Starkville. Coach Jans is an amazing person who truly cares for his players on and off the court and he believes in me and my talents and I’m super excited to get down there is get to work!”

What led to his trust in the coaching staff?

“Them being honest and upfront from the start. From Coach Jans to the rest of the staff they have always answered any questions or concerns, even the hard ones and it was always honest and truthful.”

In his own words, what type of player is Mississippi State getting in Tristan Reed?

“I would describe my game and play style as dominant and aggressive. I play most of my time in the post getting rebounds and doing the dirty work. My style is also a work is progress getting better everyday at the things that I’m good at as well as expanding my game.”

He has a message for State fans.

“STARKVEGASSS! So excited to be a bulldog and can’t wait to be down in Starkville! HAIL STATE🦴”
