Georgia Tech has landed its quarterback of the future.

On the second day of the Early Signing Period, the Yellow Jackets secured a commitment from 2026 QB Cole Bergeron, who is coming off a stellar senior season for Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More.

Bergeron officially visited Georgia Tech over the summer.

As National Signing Day arrived, the Yellow Jackets emerged as the best option for the touted passer.

“Can’t wait to be part of such a successful program,” Bergeron told Rivals on Thursday after a fantastic phone call with Brent Key and the Georgia Tech coaching staff. “Knowing the stability of the program, I’m excited to get to work with Coach Key and the staff!”

Bergeron committed to Virginia Tech over these Yellow Jackets and Colorado before his senior season. He logged an official visit to Minnesota last month and returned to Blacksburg just last weekend before Signing Day.

Georgia Tech had Bergeron on campus in June and came firing back strong for the touted 2026 QB as crunch time arrived.

“Excited to sign with Georgia Tech. Happy it came full circle,” Bergeron said. “This was my first OV and Coach (Chris) Weinke came to see me during the spring and kept recruiting me!”

“Let’s work!” he added.

Bergeron is the No. 40 passer in the 2026 class and the No. 18 overall prospect from Louisiana in this cycle.
