Georgia WR Prince Jean commits to Kentucky

Valdosta (Ga.) wide receiver Prince Jean has offers by over two dozen programs. Kentucky was one of those and the Wildcats offered back on May 5. Since the offer, Kentucky stayed consistent with their recruitment of the 6-foot, 170-pound playmaker and it paid off.
“I have committed to Kentucky,” Jean told On3. “I really liked the views and the environment up at Kentucky. That was one of the reasons I committed. The vibe around the players was another one. I like how the players vibe and connect. The support system and how invested in you Kentucky, is also put them on top of my list.”
Another reason was wide receivers coach L’Damian Washington.
“Definitely coach LD was a big part of it. Before I committed, he was texting me about every day. He has been recruiting me since he was at USF. His vibe and his story are interesting, but the person was what drew me to him.

“The things he went through with the knowledge and wisdom he got from his past are definitely something that’ll be a good voice in my ear to accomplish my goals. I believe that his teaching is the best fit for me.”
Jean’s first visit to Lexington was his official visit just a few days ago. That is all he needed.
“I committed to Kentucky over Kansas State, Virginia, Mississippi State and Georgia,” Jean said. “My visit was better than I expected it to be and it just gave Kentucky the edge.”
