Illinois offers Indianapolis area 2028 TE Theo Schott

Zionsville (Ind.) High 2028 tight end Theo Schott is one of the Midwest’s top sophomore prospects and over the weekend he visited Illinois.
Schott had a terrific experience watching the ninth-ranked Illini take apart Western Michigan to improve to 3-0. He also left with a scholarship.

Schott looks forward to developing his relationship with Bret Bielema and his staff.
”The program has very high standards and the culture of the team is very fun to watch and be around,” Schott said. “The facilities were really nice and you can tell that football is life for those guys.
“Overall I really enjoyed my experience of the game and meeting the coaches.”
There is a Zionsville connection at Illinois.
”It was also cool meeting Christian Abney, he is a tight end there and he went to Zionsville and few years ago. Getting to talk with him about the program was exciting.”
Illinois joins Purdue in offering Schott who is hearing from Georgia among others.
