Inside 4-star QB Oscar Rios' top schools

Downey (Calif.) quarterback Oscar Rios has right around 20 offers and the four-star has narrowed his list down to seven schools.
“My top seven schools are Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Arizona, Colorado and Utah,” Rios told On3.
He has relationships with coaches on each of those staffs. The former Purdue commit took his first official visit to Kentucky on April 11 and the Wildcats set the bar high.
“Coach Stoops and coach Bush stood out to me because of how they were with me. They treated me like one of their players. Coach Bush and I have built a great relationship. A big plus with Kentucky is competing in the SEC too. Having an opportunity to be the guy at that level is the real deal.”
Oklahoma State hosted him for an official visit on April 24 and he liked what he saw in Stillwater too.

”I love Oklahoma State. It’s a place where you could just focus on school and ball. Coach Gundy, coach Johns and coach Meacham are great coaches and amazing people too.”
Next up is an official visit to Virginia Tech on May 30. In June, Rios will visit Utah (June 6), Arizona (June 13) and Colorado (June 20).
As a sophomore Rios passed for 2,633 yards and 23 touchdowns with 767 yards rushing and seven more scores. His junior year numbers looked quite similar — 2,554 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 735 rushing yards and 11 more scores on the ground.
Rios is the No. 188 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.
