Iowa lands a commitment from Wisconsin WR Brody Schaffer

Winneconne (Wis.) High athlete/receiver prospect Brody Schaffer has committed to Iowa.
He gave head coach Kirk Ferentz the good news Wednesday after school before going public with his plans.
“I attended their junior day and I immediately felt at home,” Schaffer said. “The way they’ve treated me throughout this process is amazing and I’m forever grateful for their belief in me as a player. They have a great fanbase and support that makes playing at Iowa a really special opportunity. The coaching staff is consistent and has some of the purest and most down to earth people and that’s what has helped me make this decision.
“Go Hawkeyes.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Schaffer chose the Hawkeyes over Northwestern, Washington State and several others. He will visit this weekend and has also set his official visit for June 20.
“They have had a great program for a long time now and continue to do things the right way,” Schaffer recently said. “The way they have treated me has been great, and the coaching staff has developed a great relationship with me so far. They have great facilities and the people in Iowa have also showed a lot of love towards me throughout this process which is pretty cool.”
