Four-star SG Jasiah Jervis down to 5 schools, sets commitment date

Jasiah Jervis, one of the top shooting guards in the 2026 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to five. Moving forward, the 6-foot-5 senior out of Archbishop Stepinac (NY) will consider Illinois, Michigan State, NC State, Pitt, and Tennessee. Jervis, a four-star recruit, has scheduled his commitment date for November 5th.
Jervis has visited each of his finalists, besides Illinois and Tennessee. He will make the trip to Champaign this weekend and Knoxville on October 24th.
Jervis is Rivals’ No. 23 overall player in the 2026 class. He’s also the No. 5 ranked shooting guard and No. 2 player out of New York.
In a recent interview with Rivals, Jervis discussed the schools involved in his recruitment.
Jervis on the schools in pursuit
ILLINOIS: “The way they play, like they let all their guys, you know, like there’s no one specific guy that, you know, has to do a role. They all play together and they win a lot of games in the Big Ten. Coach (Brad) Underwoodis a great coach.”
NC STATE: “They have a great strength and conditioning program and they let their guys play. Will Wade trusts his freshmen and (Andrew) Slater as well. He’s a great guy and I built a great relationship with the staff. It’s been great getting to know them. You know, they’ve been coming to my open runs down at Stepinac and they’ve been watching me on TV at events like this (The Border League). So, yeah, my relationship is great with them.”

MICHIGAN STATE: “It was the grind week, so getting a chance to meet all the alum and them telling me about their experience playing for Coach (Tom) Izzo. And, you know, just getting a chance to talk to him and them dropping gems on me. Me and Coach Izzo have a great relationship. He talks to me like every day, same as well as (Doug) Wojcik. Things have been great.”
PITTSBURGH: “Coach (Jeff) Capel, you know, he’s involved, like he’s a head coach that’s involved in the recruitment and Tim O’Toole as well. So, we have built a great relationship. The visit was great. Everything went well.”
TENNESSEE: “Their guard play stands out, you know, they really trust their guards and they’re looking for a combo guard. So they’re looking for me and they’re looking for me to step in and become a key player for them.”
In that same recent interview, Jervis also discussed what he’s looking for in a college.
”I’m going to be looking for a school that needs me. A lot of schools will say they need you, but I want to go somewhere that has a plan for me. A family-oriented program and a coach and a school that is all about winning. I want to play for a coach that will develop me, as an individual and develop me into a pro.”
