Local four-star QB Trent Seaborn commits to Alabama

Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson four-star 2027 quarterback Trent Seaborn has committed to Alabama following another visit to Tuscaloosa.
Seaborn attended Saturday night’s win over Tennessee and was also in attendance for the dominant win over Vanderbilt a couple Saturdays ago.
The local talent chooses to play for head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff over Miami, South Carolina and Oregon among others.
“There’s a lot,” Seaborn has said.
“Playing for my home state on a team with guys I’ve grown up playing with or against is I think a very special opportunity not many guys get to take advantage of, especially at a place like Alabama. From a football standpoint their offense really matched my skillset, it’s an offense that needs an accurate quarterback who can process quickly and make smart decisions to really take advantage of the weapons.”

Seaborn is playing at a high level as a junior completing 72 percent of his attempts for 2,109 yards and 21 touchdowns to only six interceptions. Including an eighth grade season where he was the varsity starter Seaborn has thrown for nearly 9,000 yards and 91 touchdowns in 46 games, completing 70 percent of his passes.
Seaborn has great relationships with Kalen DeBoer, Ryan Grubb and Nick Sheridan.
“It was great to catch up in person with Coach Sheridan,” Seaborn said after the Vandy visit. “We talk every week but it’s great to connect in person. Before the game they brought me over to Coach DeBoer who wanted to talk as well and that was real good. He was asking me about my game last night, a big region win. And then after the game they brought me down to the locker room to talk with Coach Sheridan and Coach Grubb.”
Seaborn becomes commit No. 5 for Alabama in the 2027 cycle, adding to a class the Rivals Industry previously ranked No. 3 nationally.
