Major recruiting win for West Virginia landing a pledge from elite OL Kevin Brown

Harrisburg (Pa.) High blue-chip offensive lineman Kevin Brown announced his commitment to West Virginia on Tuesday afternoon, doing so during a live announcement on the Pat McAfee show.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Brown is a former Penn State verbal that chose to play for the Mountaineers over Ohio State and North Carolina.
“Their coaching staff, facilities and hometown feel all were top-notch and above elite,” Brown told Rivals.
Tabbed by Rivals as the nation’s No. 2 interior offensive line prospect and No 29 prospect overall, Brown becomes commit No. 29 for head coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff in the 2026 cycle. He is the jewel of the haul alongside talented running back Christopher Talley and quarterback Jyron Hughley.

“Coach Rodriguez, he is a real deal football coach and will make sure I am the best version of myself, Brown said.
Brown’s father played his college football in Morgantown and now Brown is excited to leave his own legacy on the program in building it back up.
“Super special man,” Brown said. “I get the opportunity of a lifetime. Not many kids get to play for their dad’s alma mater.”
West Virginia checked a lot of boxes for Brown.
“The fan base,” Brown said. “The strength and conditioning coaches as well.”
