4-star WR Mario Craver announces top 10 schools
Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville four-star wide receiver Mario Craver holds nearly 30 offers. He is now ready to cut down his list.
Craver announced his top 10 schools on Wednesday. They are Florida, Miami, Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, Louisville, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech.
“I like these 10 because I want to stay in the south,” Craver told On3. “I want to play in warm weather because I do not like the cold. I see these schools as somewhere I have a chance to play early and I think they can help me get to the NFL too. These schools are pushing for me. They are making me feel comfortable and the coaches from these schools have made the process easier for me.”
The 5-foot-9, 150-pound wideout has visited each of his finalists except for Georgia Tech, Louisville, Ole Miss and Miami. He is hoping to see the Yellow Jackets next month, and has already locked in a trip to the Rebels for April 6.
Craver went to Auburn and Florida in March, and already knows both programs will get an official visit from him. He plans to use all five of his officials.
“I am taking my official visits during the summer and then committing,” said Craver, the No. 228 overall prospect and No. 37 wide receiver in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. “Staying consistent and who makes me feel most comfortable will be the school for me. The fit is important too.”

Craver has high interest in two of his finalists
Craver has not set dates for any of his officials yet. However, he is looking forward to getting to multiple programs, including the Gators and Tigers.
“I have a great relationship with the new staff,” Craver said about Auburn. “This staff is the best staff I have met since Auburn has been recruiting me. I trust what coach (Hugh) Freeze is doing. They are really pushing for me.”
Craver previously spoke with On3 about his trip to Gainesville on March 4. He enjoyed seeing Florida’s stadium, as well as watching the Gators’ coaches run practice and interact with players.
“Florida has DJ Lagway,” Craver said. “He is one of the top quarterbacks in the class. I like (Billy) Napier too. He needs playmakers to get in space and I like the offense they want to run. Lagway and myself could bring it back to the old Florida.”
