Maryland flips 2026 DL Cameron Brickle away from Ohio State

IMG Academy (Fla.) three-star defensive lineman Cameron Brickle has flipped his commitment from Ohio State to Maryland, he told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Brickle, who originally hails from Philadelphia, had been pledged to the Buckeyes since June, when he chose them over the Terrapins, Florida State and Penn State, and more than a dozen other offers.
Maryland, however, remained in contact with him since then and kept pushing to get him into their class. Prior to flipping Brickle, the Terrapins didn’t have a single interior defensive lineman in their 12-player class. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, have pledges from Rivals five-star Khary Wilder, top-100 prospect Damari Simeon, four-star Emanuel Ruffin, and three-star Jamir Perez.
Ruffin, a former Colorado commit, flipped his pledge to Ohio State earlier this month a created an even bigger logam at the position.

With the Terps, Brickle has a chance at early playing time given their lack of interior depth. He’s the 13th commitment of the cycle for Mike Locksley and Co., who came into the day with the nation’s No. 51 class in the Rivals Industry Team Rankings.
Five-Star Plus+ edge rusher Zion Elee is the lone blue-chipper in the group, which is primarily comprised of players from Baltimore and Washington D.C. areas.
