Miami adds local talent DeMarcus DeRoche to 2027 class
Miami continues to build its 2027 class locally and has added a talented wide receiver/tight end, DeMarcus DeRoche, from Cardinal Gibbons High School. The four-star made his announcement via social media Tuesday evening. He chose the Hurricanes over Florida State, Florida, NC State, Auburn, Louisville, and Illinois.
DeRoche was offered on June 18th, and the relationship has developed ever since. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound hybrid receiver has an 83.5 wingspan and has elite athletic ability.
“My relationship with the coaches got a lot better,” DeRoche said. “I learned a lot on both sides of the ball.”
The transfer from Boyd Anderson recorded seven sacks on defense and scored five touchdowns offensively.
