Miami flips blue-chip defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil from Clemson
Clayton (NC) High Rivals300 defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil has flipped his commitment from Clemson to Miami.
The four-star prospect becomes commit No. 25 for head coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes in the 2026 cycle.
“When I first went down there it felt like home,” Stancil said. “Clemson always felt like home for me so it was a hard decision.”
But a decision the 6-foot-3, 260-pound Stancil is happy about.
“Great coaches, great culture, great lifestyle too,” Stancil said. “You can do things beyond football at Miami. If you want to become an entrepreneur you can do that and a million other things beyond being a football player. The student-life is great.”
Ranked by Rivals as the nation’s No. 10 defensive lineman and No. 120 prospect overall, Stancil says the football at Miami is great too.
“It’s always been a great program,” Stancil emphasized. Defensive line coach Damione Lewis was his lead recruiter. “Coach Lewis is a great motivator and great coach as well and has a lot of knowledge when it comes to football. He’s been in the league, coached in the league, he’s been everywhere.
