Miami offers Iowa State 4-star WR commit Milan Parris

Miami is sending out offers to prospects committed elsewhere in hopes of flipping blue-chippers and beyond this fall. Another notable offer was announced on Monday evening.
At the end of January, Iowa State landed a crucial commitment from Akron (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit four-star wide receiver Milan Parris. The 6-foot-4, 185-pounder headlines the pledge list in Ames for head coach Matt Campbell and the Cyclones.
He’s continued to catch the attention of scouts this year, seeing his stock rise in the process. Other schools are also taking notice, and Miami is now the latest to dish an offer, joining the likes of West Virginia, Illinois, Maryland and Michigan State.
The Hurricanes are looking to get Parris down to Coral Gables for a visit, he tells Rivals’ Greg Smith. “Just thinking how far I’ve came as a player and a person,” Parris said about what he felt upon landing the offer from The U.
Miami has already flipped one four-star receiver this cycle. Tustin (Calif.) Mission Viejo WR Vance Spafford was committed to Georgia, but Hurricanes receivers coach Kevin Beard and Co. turned up the heat and flipped him from the Bulldogs on June 23.
Spafford, the No. 12 WR in the 2026 cycle, is one of three receivers in the class to date, alongside St. Augustine (Fla.) four-star Somourian Wingo and Charlotte William Amos Hough Rivals four-star Tyran Evans. Miami has 22 commits to date, forming a class that ranks No. 12 nationally, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Parris is the No. 299 overall prospect and No. 50 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. Rivals ranks him higher than other recruiting services, as he checks in as the No. 189 recruit and No. 28 WR in the Rivals300.
He’s one of just two blue-chip commits for Iowa State so far this cycle. The Cyclones have the No. 55 class nationally, good for just No. 12 in the Big 12. Parris plays for one of the premier Ohio high school football programs, too. Walsh Jesuit currently ranks as the No. 5 team in the Buckeye State, per the Rivals Composite Rankings, after a 2-0 start this fall.
Culture in Ames has Parris locked in
Last month, Parris dished on his commitment to the Cyclones with Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong:
“I’m excited to play for Coach Campbell because of the culture he instilled at Iowa State and it shows that he can build us into the players we dream to be without making everything about NIL,” he said. “He’s a great coach and most importantly a great father, which is more than respectable.
“The class-of-2026 is very deep and we all have an understanding of the end goal and will do whatever to get to that. Some of us come from a rough background and Coach Campbell took a chance on us through the belief of himself and his coaching staff. He’s an Ohio guy and that definitely stuck out to me. We will definitely make some noise in the future after we all dominate this last stretch of high school football.”
