Minnesota flips 2026 RB Jett Walker away from West Virginia

PJ Fleck dug out the spatula on Monday for additional fireworks in the Twin Cities.
Minnesota flipped 3-star RB Jett Walker away from West Virginia after an official visit this weekend.
The Texas-based prospect is the third RB in the Gophers’ 2026 class.
He’s stoked about the opportunity to play in Fleck’s offense and against Big Ten competition.
“My biggest reason for my flip to Minnesota was the potential of playing Big 10 football and what Coach Everett sees in me,” Rivals’ No. 37 RB told Rivals.
Gophers assistant Jayden Everett led the charge for Walker out of Georgetown (Texas) High School.

Minnesota made a splash after offering just last month.
“I love the opportunities Minnesota brings,” he said. “Everything. The culture, the staff, and the vision they have for me.”
The official visit to campus over the weekend was the catalyst in Walker’s recruitment.
“They recruited me a little bit back in the spring, but they recently reached out, extended the offer, and wanted to get me on campus,” he said. “I knew I wanted to be a Gopher as soon as I got to meet the staff, especially Coach Fleck.”
Now, Fleck will be calling plays for him.
