Elite EDGE Javion Hilson commits to Missouri Tigers

Eli Drinkwitz and Missouri aren’t exactly known for late recruiting shockers, but the Tigers pulled off a huge one on Wednesday.
Four-star Cocoa (Fla.) EDGE Javion Hilson has pledged to Mizzou on National Signing Day, becoming the second-highest rated commitment in the Tigers class.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder is the No. 49 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 4 EDGE and No. 7 recruit in Florida.

Hilson was not considered to be a Missouri lean for any portion of the cycle. In fact, the Tigers came in with an offer in November and got him on campus for an official visit the final weekend before the dead period.
He was at one time committed to Alabama, but backed off that pledge following Nick Saban’s retirement last winter. He then gave a verbal commitment to Florida State, but left the Seminoles class in October after FSU’s massive on-field struggles.
Now he joins a class that ranks among the top-20 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
