NFL legacy Santana Harvey earns Notre Dame offer after 'unforgettable' talk

The national offers continue to stack up for Santana Harvey.
The NFL legacy, son of former first round NFL Draft pick Derrick Harvey, added the good news from Notre Dame at the end of the week.
Safe to say the Fighting Irish will vault way up the early list of the Lakeland (Fla.) High School pass rusher.
“It’s for sure it my best one,” Harvey said of the newest tender. “I’m super hyped. I’ve been waiting on the Notre Dame offer — it’s definitely one of my dream offers.”
The move to add the program to the offer list was confirmed by Marcus Freeman‘s defensive line coach Al Washington.
“Coach Wash called and we had an unforgettable conversation,” Harvey said. “They said that I have all the tools and I’m very developed for my age.
“Coach Washington said he’s been a big fan of me for a long time. He also said that I have the potential to be the best in the country.”

A first impression of South Bend on deck
The class of 2027 recruit, already rated four stars by the Rivals Industry Ranking, is working on a busy slate of college football games to take in early in the season.
Notre Dame figures to soon secure a spot on the itinerary.
“For sure there is a visit in the works,” Harvey said. “I’m definitely trying to get up there this fall. I’ll see Clemson (against LSU), Florida (Texas), South Carolina, too.
“More are in the works for sure.”
All healed from an arm injury suffered during the spring practice window, Harvey’s profile has the chance to continue to grow as a junior this fall.
“Pretty much just focused on the season,” he said.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect, who notched 8.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss las a sophomore, has no timeline for an early decision.
