Noel Devine's son gets college offer from alma mater West Virginia

One of the most legendary players in West Virginia Mountaineers‘ football history saw his son do something no other eighth grader has ever done: Receive a scholarship offer from head coach Rich Rodriguez.
On Monday evening, the Mountaineer legend posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that his son, Noel Devine Jr., received a college offer from his alma mater West Virginia. Devine Jr. is a Class of 2030 prospect and was also recently offered by the University of Miami over the weekend.
Devine’s son placed first at the AAU Region 10 track and field national qualifying event in the 100-meter dash over the summer. The eighth grader had posted a blistering time of 11.30 for Cape Breeze Athletics.
The former West Virginia star played his high school football at North Fort Myers High School from 2003 to 2006, rushing for over 6,000 yards and scoring 78 touchdowns between his sophomore and senior campaigns. The Southwest Florida speedster was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl as a senior and was ranked as one of the top running backs in the country by Rivals.
