Ohio State lands commitment from Rivals' No. 5 2027 IOL prospect Brody McNeel

Richmond (Va.) Godwin Rivals300 offensive lineman Brody McNeel has committed to Ohio State.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound McNeel chose to play for head coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes over an offer list that also included Penn State, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
“My favorite things are the coaching staff, atmosphere and the legacy,” McNeel said. “Really feel I can get developed very well at Ohio State.”
The four-star McNeel visited Ohio State for the Buckeyes win over Texas and said the Buckeyes were high on his list. Following a return visit on Sunday, Nov. 9, he is now in the fold.
“They are a powerhouse football team with great coaches!” McNeel has said. “That’s what excites me everyday that I have the opportunity to play there.”

McNeel also visited Ohio State last spring and summer. He joins a 2027 recruiting class Rivals previously ranked No. 5 nationally. He is the third offensive lineman in the fold including Kellen Wymer and Mason Wilt.
Rivals is much higher on McNeel than the Industry ranking him as the nation’s No. 5 interior offensive lineman and No. 125 prospect overall. The Industry collectively tabs him at No. 27 and No. 346 respectively.
Moving forward the Buckeyes are in great position for several other offensive line targets. Five-stars Mark Matthews, Kennedy Brown and Maxwell Hiller are a few of the big fish on the board with a keen eye on the Buckeyes. Offensive tackle Elijah Hutcheson is another OSU is in the lead group for.
