Middletown (Del.) Appoquinimink Rivals300 receiver Jahsiear Rogers has flipped his commitment from Penn State to Oklahoma.

The four-star playmaker announced the switch during a live announcement on the Rivals YouTube Channel.

“Oklahoma is just a place built for football players,” Rogers said. He took his official visit over the weekend and also strongly considered Alabama, Indiana and Nebraska.

“It’s a football town. Out there you’re going to be focused and ready to go every day.”

The 6-foot, 175-pound Rogers is electric with the ball in his hands, can stretch the field and is a big-play waiting to happen. He becomes commit No. 22 for head coach Brent Venables and the Sooners in the 2026 class.

“Just the rich history they got of putting great receivers in the league and just the program and coaching staff,” Rogers explained. “It’s a family atmosphere over there.”

Rogers felt at home as soon as he got on campus.

“Definitely the fans,” Rogers said before going into what else stood out. “The relationship the coaches have with the players and myself. Coach Venables is a great guy all around.”

Future position coach Emmett Jones was impactful in recruiting Rogers and leading the charge was Director of Player Personnel Stacey Ford.

“Coach Stacey was a big impact and Coach Jones,” Rogers said. “It wasn’t a day they missed a call. It started to click the first time I got the call from Coach Stacey. He made me feel welcomed and already on the team.”

Rivals ranks Rogers as the nation’s No. 24 receiver and No. 196 prospect overall.
