OL Rex Waterman commits to Nebraska: 'They checked all of the boxes'

Chandler (Ari.) Hamilton offensive tackle Rex Waterman took an official visit to Nebraska over the weekend and he has committed to Matt Rhule and the Cornhuskers.
It was his third time to Lincoln and he saw all he needed to see.
“The official visits played a fairly decent part in my decision, but I really tried to see how life would be when you’re an actual player and they checked all of the boxes,” Waterman told On3.
Boise State, Duke and UCLA were competing with Nebraska, but not long after leaving the campus, he saw no reason to think about his decision any longer.
“I really knew that Nebraska was the right fit when I got home and had time to process everything. The people in the program are what I am looking for. I like how the coaches hold their players to a high standard each and every day too. I think the area would be a good place for my parents to move to eventually as well.”

When Nebraska offered, they quickly ascended up his list. The more he visited, the more the 6-foot-5, 295-pound three-star felt it. He is done with the recruiting process.
“My recruitment is 100% shut down,” Waterman said. “Each time I went to Nebraska, it seemed to get better and better. The vibe is definitely like they haven’t earned anything yet, but they are out to get everything.”
