Missouri, Alabama, Illinois, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Oregon are the remaining contenders for four-star athlete Jacob Eberhart, he announced on Tuesday.

The St. Louis (Mo.) Kirkwood standout chose his final group from more than 15 Division I offers, which also included Kansas State, Tennessee, Ohio State and more.

Eberhart checks in as the No. 362 overall prospect and No. 17 ATH in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3, however, is higher on him than other services, tabbing him as the country’s No. 207 recruit, No. 9 athlete and No. 4 player from the state of Missouri.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder stars on both sides of the ball at Kirkwood, but is primarily being recruited as a safety at the next level. And he has no issue with that.

“I play wide receiver and safety mostly,” Eberhart told BamaOnLine after receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide. “I’m very comfortable at safety and I love playing defense. You can move more freely. Sometimes on offense you feel like you have strings attached. On defense you can scheme and let everybody play freely the way they want.”

Eberhart has only taken one official visit thus far

Alabama is one of the latest entrants into his recruitment, but their offer means a lot to him.

“It was a big moment for me because Alabama and the legacy they hold, every blessing counts. It was kind of a surreal moment.”

And despite being a highly coveted prospect, Eberhart is still early in his recruiting process. He visited Ole Miss, Ohio State, Miami and Nebraska unofficially this spring, but has taken only one official visit so far to Illinois in April.

Now that he has narrowed his list down even further, he’ll be looking to line those up. Alabama is expected to host him the weekend of June 17, he told BOL. But no other visits are locked in just yet.

Miami is looking to make a late push after visiting him at his school, but they’ll have some work to do to get into the top of his list.

“Illinois, Nebraska and Oklahoma, those are like the top three,” Eberhart told CaneSport. “But there’s way more, it’s way deeper than that. There’s way more schools like LSU, those are my top four that I like right now. …(Miami) has been making a good effort. It’s coming down to it, but we’re just going to have to see what happens in the future.”
