Oregon, Alabama and Illini commits headline H.D. Performance WR Retreat Top Performers

The H.D. Performance Wide Receiver Retreat this month in Orlando had a group of talented pass catchers in attendance.
Rivals takes you inside the event.
Top Performer: Messiah Hampton (2026)
The Oregon commit and Rivals No. 5 ranked receiver and No. 43 prospect overall continues to show why he’s one of the jewels of the Ducks 2026 class.
“Pays attention to detail, competes at a high level, applies what he’s being taught,” event organizer Kevin Wheeler Jr. said.
“Got better each and every day competing.”
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Hampton committed to the Ducks in June.
“They’re getting a gritty, tough football player,” Wheeler said. “A guy that’s going to go in there work, stay grounded. A guy who can stretch the field vertically. Good with the ball in his hands. Run-after-catch ability. High-point ability. Physical, won’t have a problem getting in there and blocking.
“Will do what the coaches ask him to do and some. They’re getting a great locker room guy.”
Brian Williams (2026)
Alabama secured a pledge from Williams during the event.
“Special,” Wheeler said. “A 6-4 guy, drops his weight really well. In and out of his breaks, natural hands, ball skills. twitchy. He has all the tools that you want in a receiver. He’s fast enough to stretch the field vertically. Can find the holes in the zone. A worker. You can see his progression from just last year and he continues to trend upward.”
Sebastian Lora (2027)
Syracuse, Duke and West Virginia are among the early offers for Lora.
“He’s a sleeper,” Lora said. “He’s real twitchy. Very quick. Good hands. Good strong hands, gets out of breaks efficiently. Moves well. Can run the entire route tree. He’s a great athlete. He’s 5-10 1/2, 5-11, he can high point the ball and great with the ball after the catch.”

Magnus Talma (2027)
Talma can really run posting a 10.83 time during the track season in the spring.
“I love the way he competes. He’s another guy that has twitch to him. Good release package. Strong hands. The thing I like about him, he has good manipulation in his routes. He knows how to set guys up, stem them at top of the route, rocker steps, stuff like that.”
Saphir Miller (2026)
Miami recently offered the Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater playmaker.
“He’s probably like a 10.6 guy. Clocked a 4.38 laser and 4.41. He’s very smooth to be that fast and has strong hands. Probably some of the most natural catching ability I’ve seen and that’s very rare with those speed guys. Gets in and out of breaks at an efficient rate. I look for him to have a big year at Edgewater this year.”
Kenyon Alston (2026)
Alston committed to Illinois in January.
“He’s gotten better with his releases and his hands. He’s put a lot of work on the jugs and showed the ability to catch the ball at different angles, a lot of spectacular catches, one-handed catches.”
Barrett Schultz (2026)
Schultz committed to FIU at the event.
“Big 6-foot-6 guy who moved really well getting in and out of breaks, catching the ball and competing great during the competition drills.”
