QB Jamison Kitna commits to play for Trent Dilfer at UAB

Liberty Township (Ohio) Lakota East 2025 three-star quarterback Jamison Kitna committed to Houston on Aug. 1 last year before backing off that pledge and opening his recruitment up in December.
He took his time in the spring talking with different coaches and exploring his options before taking an official visit to UAB in June. He liked the staff, he connected with the people and Kitna has committed to Trent Dilfer and the Blazer.
“I have been to UAB a lot, I have known TD for a while and love the staff he’s built down there,” Kitna told On3. The decision was between them and JMU and now I get to go to college with my brother.”
Kitna has gotten very familiar with UAB. He has visited four times. Many factors went into this decision, but none bigger than playing for a head coach who has played quarterback at the highest level.

“I think TD and his staff can train me to be a pro. I am going to know more football than anyone in the country and he can develop me for the next level.
“TD is changing a culture and trying to win at a high level down there. It’s a lot more than just football… they develop men and have a tight family. The coaches love being there and going to work every day. The staff is amazing.”
Kitna is the nation’s No. 73 quarterback in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 52 player in Ohio.
