Rivals five-star offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko has signed with Georgia, giving Kirby Smart and Co. one of the top overall offensive line prospects in the cycle.

The South Garner (N.C.) star committed to the Bulldogs back in June over Clemson and Florida, and at the time was a bit of an unknown on the national recruiting radar. But the early evaluation by offensive line coach Stacy Searels paid major dividends, as Ogboko kept moving up the rankings throughout the fall.

Georgia’s trust and belief in him also paid off, and he was certain in his decision to commit this summer. And he hasn’t wavered since then.

“It was about the school and the overall program at Georgia,” Ogboko told Rivals’ Chad Simmons. “How they do things, my trust in them and the vibe made Georgia the right school for me. I believe Georgia can get me where I want to be. They work. They compete. My trust is Georgia is different.”

He is part of a loaded UGA class that came into National Signing Day ranked No. 2 nationally and features more than 20 blue-chip recruits. Ogboko is one of the headliners.

In the most recent Rivals300 rankings, he made his jump into five-star territory.

“Ogobko gives Georgia another top talent along the offensive line. At 6-foot-6, 310 pounds with plus length, he is one of the more violent offensive tackles in the 2026 cycle,” wrote Charles Power, Rivals’ Director of Scouting and Rankings. “He’s a monster in the run game at  Garner (N.C.) South Garner, showing dominance as a drive blocker and puller. Ogboko is a flexible athlete who plays with quality pad level, allowing him to uproot defensive linemen. We also see his athleticism on defense, where he’s racked up 27 tackles for loss – more than most top defensive tackle prospects.”

According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services, Ogobko is the No. 36 prospect nationally and No. 6 OT nationally. Rivals, however, tabs him as the nation’s No. 14 recruit and No. 4 tackle in the class.
