TCU hosting several talented in-state prospects for home opener

The TCU Horned Frogs are off to a 1-0 start after a defeat of the Tar Heels in primetime.
Sonny Dykes and co. will return to action for the first time in The Carter this Saturday with Abilene Christian — in front of a talented group of prospects.
The Horned Frogs will host several commitments in their 2026 recruiting class, which is comprised solely of in-state prospects, which reinforces this staff’s belief in Texas high school football.
Here’s more on TCU’s visitor list, including several top 2027 targets headlined by local blue-chip CB Jerry Outhouse Jr.
Several TCU commits hitting Funky Town
There will be a strong presence of future Horned Frogs back in the Carter to see TCU try to improve to 2-0 in the early season. That includes blue-chip EDGE Jesse Ford out of Arlington (Texas) Martin and four-star S Jason Bradford from Temple (Texas) High.
Local commits TE Braden Bach from Argyle (Texas) High and Ayson Theus of Duncanville (Texas) are both expected. So is highly touted interior OL Devan Robison and talented TE James Scott, who will drive in from Houston. Prized RB G’Ivori Graham will do the same from San Antonio.
Horned Frogs hosting 2027 offensive targets
TCU is bringing in several top targets on the offensive side of the ball, including three-star RB Tristan Willis and three-star TE Jeramie Cooper, a local target from nearby North Crowley. The Horned Frogs have been mainstays with both targets and are well-positioned in their junior campaigns.
Another local target in town will be OT Alexander Herrera. The Horned Frogs are leading on the Rivals RPM for in-state OT Hudson Whitenight from Dripping Springs (Texas) High. Four-star OL Sidney Rouleau and Aiden Williams are two more interior OL targets set to be in Funky Town.

Horned Frogs hosting several defensive targets
Two sought-after DL targets set to be in town include Humble (Texas) Atascocita DL Jason Johnson and three-star Arlington (Texas) Mansfield Summit EDGE Cameron Hall, who tells Rivals he’ll be in town.
A local target for the Horned Frogs, Hall is high on TCU’s board in 2027 and is excited to be back on campus.
“The push from TCU has been incredible,” Hall told Rivals. “I loved the facility from the jump, the coaching staff and the players. The coaching staff makes me feel welcomed — like I’m welcomed to their brotherhood.”
Two more highly regarded in-state LB that TCU is high on include Bryce Breeden from Bridge City (Texas) High and local Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy‘s Ashton Whiteside.
There will be even more star power in secondary targets for the Horned Frogs. Headlining the group is blue-chip CB target Jerry Outhouse Jr. from North Crowley, who has been a staple on campus as an underclassman and into his junior season. TCU has staying power in this race, which also includes Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Michigan.
Local three-star safety Elijajuan Houston and Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial CB Darrod Jacobs are two targets TCU is standing tall with early on. Touted ATH Kevin Jackson from Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek is another prospect this staff loves in the secondary.
