Forney (Texas) North Forney four-star receiver Legend Bey locked in with Tennessee on Saturday, announcing his commitment to the Vols.

Bey becomes commit No. 13 for head coach Josh Heupel and his program in the 2026 cycle. He chose to play in Knoxville over his other top schools in Texas A&M and Duke.

Future position coach Kelsey Pope was the lead recruiter.

”The atmosphere is ridiculous,” Bey told On3. “The fans are amazing and I have a great relationship with Coach Pope.”

Bey ranks as the nation’s No. 13 athlete and No. 301 prospect overall. He adds to a class the On3 Industry previously ranked No. 16 nationally.

This one came down to the Aggies and Tennessee, and the Vols were able to pull away. He did give a silent during his official visit but Texas A&M certainly challenged down the stretch.

One of the fastest prospects in America, the 6-foot, 185-pound Bey plays quarterback on the prep level and used his 10.2 speed to rush for 1,912 yards. He threw for 1,444 yards and totaled 41 touchdowns.

“They were originally recruiting me as a quarterback I was told,” Bey said. Coach (Joey) Halzle and Coach Heupel also told me and they want me to throw the ball as well!”

Bey took his official visit to Knoxville the weekend of June 13.

“The culture and I love the guys and the players,” Bey told VolQuest’s Matt Ray following his trip. “Coach Pope and Coach Heup, those are my guys. They are real honest, so I would definitely say this is a place that I would want to be at.

“My expectations were high, but they were met, for sure. I liked how we got to go on top of the stadium. That was crazy to me.”
