Elite EDGE Bryce Perry-Wright commits to Texas A&M

Buford (Ga.) four-star EDGE Bryce Perry-Wright has committed to Texas A&M, he announced on Saturday.
He chose the Aggies over Clemson, Miami and Texas in what was a hotly-contested battle down the stretch this summer.
Perry-Wright is the No. 33 overall prospect and No. 5 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in the Peach State.
Head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies got the final official visit from Perry-Wright on the weekend of June 20 and momentum began to pick up in favor of the program in College Station from there. Different teams looked to have the momentum at different times in Perry-Wright’s recruitment, but he’s long had great things to say about the Lone Star State SEC program and now joins a stacked recruiting class.
“They show me a lot of love. Show me what it means to become an Aggie,” Perry-Wright told Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong earlier this year. “The environment was awesome. They just wanna to win and have fun doing it. Just to get the knowledge from Coach Tony and Spencer was a great.”

As a junior for Buford, one of the best high school football programs in Georgia, Perry-Wright tallied 57 total tackles, including nine sacks and 13 tackles for loss, per MaxPreps. He’ll be one of the most feared rushers in the nation on Friday nights this fall.
With Perry-Wright now in the fold, Elko and the A&M staff have seven commitments from top-100 overall prospects. The class now checks in at No. 3 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, with Perry-Wright headlining the class alongside five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington, four-star running back KJ Edwards and four-star EDGE Tristian Givens, among others.
Scout’s Take on Bryce Perry-Wright
Perry-Wright was named a top performer by Rivals at the Under Armour Next Series camp in Atlanta back in February. He dominated the camp and caught the eye of Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power:
“Bryce Perry-Wright made things look easy during offensive line-defensive line 1-on-1’s. The 6-foot-2, 255-pounder did what he wanted, winning reps on the outside and interior with little resistance. Perry-Wright is a few weeks removed from a strong showing against outgoing seniors at the Navy All-American Bowl and made easy work of the 2026 and 2027 prospects at Atlanta Under Armour. The Buford (Ga.) High standout showed impressive speed-to-power. He walked nearly every offensive lineman he faced deep into the backfield. Perry-Wright had a defined pass rush plan, stringing together moves and counters. He looks to be a very high-floor prospect. He took a ton of reps and left little doubt he was a top performer.”
