For the second straight season, the No. 25 nationally ranked Duncanville Panthers can take home bragging rights once again.

The Panthers (3-1) used a strong second effort, out-scoring the DeSoto Eagles (3-3) 21-6 en route to a 48-28 victory on Friday night at Panther Stadium.

Duncanville opened up the scoring in the first quarter when quarterback Maximus The Great Denson hit wide receiver Emmanuel Ellison on a 21-yard touchdown strike to get things going offensively. That would just be the start of what would be a solid night through the air for Denson.

After a DeSoto touchdown, Denson went right back to work through the air, connecting with TCU pledge Ayson Theus on a 29-yard pass to go right back up 14-6 on the Eagles.

Denson would have a career night for the Panthers, finishing with a game-high seven touchdowns throws on the night. Though the Eagles would get to within 28-20 in the second half, it would be Denson leading the charge in creating the cushion needed to pull away with the victory.

In the third quarter, Denson would connect on another touchdown pass to Ellison and also to SMU commit Zach Turner. The junior signal caller would add one last scoring toss in the fourth quarter, this time a 26-yard pass to Trenton Yancey.
