Top-15 overall recruit Bryson Howard commits to Duke

Bryson Howard, one of the top guards in the class of 2026, has committed to Duke, he told Rivals.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of Heritage High School (TX) is the No. 11 overall recruit in the nation, according to Rivals. Howard, a high four-star prospect, ultimately chose the Blue Devils over North Carolina and Kentucky, but also received offers from Texas, Houston, UConn, among many others.
Entering this summer, Bryson Howard was completely unranked and didn’t hold a single high-major offer. What a rise.

Howard on his commitment to Duke
Bryson Howard discussed his decision to choose Duke with Rivals.
“I chose Duke because I feel like I fit perfectly into their system especially with how they play defense, move off the ball, and space the floor. Also the way everyone there treats each other like family really stood out to me and made me feel this is the right home.”
Bryson is the son of former NBA All-Star Josh Howard, who played in the league for 10 season. Josh played college basketball for Wake Forest.
